Taramps for real?

So I have been looking into the Taramps, the HD 3000 to be specific. This amp claims it can do 3598 watts at 13.8v and 3k at 12.8v all while only consuming as the info says 153 amps on maximum musical. So my question is simply is this amp for real? Does it really put out what it claims with only 153 amps?

I was going to start the same thread!!! I'm planning on buying the HD 8000 for a couple of Sundown Z4 12's with NS spiders. I'm not sure if it does rated power. if it does anything close to it though, it will be plenty for my application. The price seems too good to be true ($839):

11s. They are not consistent and not built proof. You are paying for power only.

How picky? My voltage while running doesn't drop below 13.6 with my old school 3.5k amp. My stock alt is only 70 amps. I am upgrading to a 220 or 275 amp Singer alt before I get the HD8000.

I know I won't be pushing mine too hard on a couple z4's. I'm just wondering if one XS D3100 and a 220 amp alt would be enough. I've heard that Taramps are efficient.

I'd go bigger than the 3000 then, just to be on the safe side. They aren't that much more expensive as you go up in watts

yeah I'd get something can do a little more than what you need or want because then you won't have to push the amp as hard and don't have to worry about clipping as much or maybe even at all. the 3k is plenty enough for me as I only need 2400rms total to do my 4 15s rated power but people say the OA's can take a little more than rated so even if I wanna up the power I'll still have some headroom on the amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
