Tach only working for first few minutes

My tach doesn't seem to want to work after the car heats up, it works for the first few minutes then it just dies and doesn't seem to respond much. It kind of flickers after that.

I'm going to pull the dash off and see if the needle is loose tomorrow morning, but does anyone else have any other ideas ?

Figured it out. For some reason my rca cables would work in everything but the new head unit. I quickly tried a spare set, and that fixed the problem.

There isn't much it can be. Pull the amp turn on wire out of the amp, and just run a wire from there and touch the distro block will activate...
