T-line Box

Is it possible to put a t-line box in a 08 crew cab sierra under the rear seat? I'm looking at get some subs and I need a box. I think I'm going with a DD 1508 or soundsplinter 8 or sundown 8. I may go with a ten. Are there any people near B'ham here that custom build boxes?

By the way, I have 2 D6 12s that I took out my car I just sold. I dont know if they would be to deep or not. Either one these subs will be powered with a D5 1200.1

maybe with a 6" sub 1/4 wave, but any sub bigger is really not gonna happen

ok, didn't know they was that big. guess i will just have to get a ported box built for it. Are the boxes from places like subthump any good?

I think u can get a T-line to fit. May have to do some glass work. It will be a little big, but It can be done

It depends. Sub thump I think is a good company. Just make sure the specs from their box and what your sub requires matches up. If you need some help deciding on a sub or box, ask.

I dont know the size of the space under the seat, but I would say yes. I ll try to dig up the specs of a 1508 tline that I found, but I would think it would fit under the seat. There is a guy on steve meade that did what he called a bandpass tline for 1508 in the build section. Everything i heard said it sounded good and hit low and the specs were smaller than what I think what is under your seat.

to give you an idea of two different 1508 boxes. The bandpass T line was 22" x 39". Now keep in mind it was a hybrid box with a sealed section in the middle before the line. The guy I was talking to said it would be smaller if it were a true TLine. It was 8.75" tall. Another box that I heard was a 6th order for a 1508. I hit hard and was only 1 cube @ 39 hz and 0.3 @ 72 hz. So figure depending on you room, a box at 1.05 would be about the size of the 6th order. I am assuming that you have at least a cube under your seat? I think I have seen at least 2 1508's go under a seat.

You'll be happier with a pair of 10's that work well in sealed boxes.
