system with stock hu and no rcas??????

a guy i work with has 2 12" cvr's running of an mtx amp.

the subs sound normal for cvr's

the only catch is that he does not have any rca cable running to the stock headunit.

when i asked him how he did it he said that his uncle wired the amp into the rear speaker wires

(stock).

how is this possible?

it was dark so i really couldn't see alll the details. but this deff. sparked my interest.

anyone know how he mat have done this?

line level in, many amps have it

ya, its called high voltage input. Some amps have it and others don't

if it's a newer mtx amp they have it to where you can take the speaker level outs of a factory deck and splice in rca's and flip a swithc on the amp.

Some amps have it, or you can just buy a line-output converter. They're cheap, around $25.

even if the amp cant do this you can allways go to radio shack and get the mod addapter and do it....... eather way its a small term i think we have all used before. somthing i like to call ****** rigging
