System Shuts Off When Just Battery is On * HELP *

Okay I watched the meter as i got friend to hit brakes and stuff. The meter didnt move, stayed at 12V

Im going to go by the audio place Monday, where I got it installed and tell them to fix what they did....and it better not cost me.

Until then, im up for trying anything to get this fixed.

eh, it's up to you man i dont mind usually.

Check your alt wiring, battery wiring, grounds and everything on the HU, maybe run a new ground off HU, sounds like the cars elect system doesn't like it being in the loop?

I did have a bad connection on my alternator when I first got the car. The guy that had it before me just had some wire loosely wrapped around one of the connections on the alt. Bought some new wire clip things and fixed that. Now that I think of it, maybe I should do that to all the alt. wires. But, I dont see how that would effect what my problem is.

might be using to much power.. but why the hell is this a problem???? ho oftain do you listen to music with the car off, lights on, turn signals on and the horn blowing??? why did you even do that in the 1st place?

I had a speaker wire from my HU shorting to the frame of my HU, and my tail lights wouldn't work? the brake lights did, but not the taillights, its crazy sometimes. drove around paranoid for a week before i messed around and fixed it.

you need to double check your wiring on the radio too just hook up your 12v power memory and ground no speakers yet and see wat happens

are the horn lights and brake on hte same circuit? im betting its a short and its killin the h/u from undervoltage...
