System Progress -- 56k watch out!

Good link there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I've already started with Great Stuff so it may throw me off to use a different material to finish. That looks like a great alternative, though, thanks for the tip!

Wiring looks great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The two part urethane foam is good stuff if you have large enclosed cavities to fill. I would stick with the great stuff and your controlled method. Lot less cleanup in the enviroment your working in . I used blocks of the floral foam from wally world , and filled around them with great stuff so I didn't end up using a bajillion cans of the stuff . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow, this is some serious hatchback.
How do you plan on mounting the subs/amps/other equipment when you finish?

Glass/wall?
Woofers facing up behind the rear seats and hopefully I can fit all of the equipment under the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have removed the spare tire as a mounting location for the rear batteries. Once I get the back end back together I'll be doing measurements to determine final installation details. Box will be mostly birch plywood and some glass if necessary.

You're gonna need to do a k20 or b16/18 swap with a turbo to get that thing out of it's own way from a stop sign with all that extra weight! You could also kick it like a skateboard I guess......looks cool

I was looking at a Jackson Racing Supercharger, would get me more power than a B16 swap for less money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm talking to a guy about a used kit with blower, various pulleys, header, hondata, etc for a little over $1,000.

So yes, I totally agree that it will barely get out of it's own path when I'm done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

* Aluminum tape "wall" to end the area where expanding foam will be used at the back of the cavity. I have to stop here to allow room to service the tail lights.

Civic_14_Rear_Foam.jpg

* Starting the foam in the rear part of the cavity. I'm going at all faces of the foam at once since I can only do a little at a time in each part.

Civic_15_Foam_Continued.jpg

* One more layer on the front part of the cavity. At the far end you can see I am starting to shape the area with aluminum tape to keep the foam where I want it.

Civic_16_Hatch_Floor.jpg

* Rear hatch floor is nearly complete. I just need to cover all the seams with aluminum tape. I have dampening material on the back of my pants from sitting in the tire well doing foam work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Civic_17_Hatch_Door_V4.jpg

* Finally got around to finishing off the rear hatch door and topping it off with Edead V4 Teklite foam. I am not going to fill it with foam as there is too much mechanical latch "stuff" in there that needs to move around.

Civic_18_Hatch_Cover.jpg

* Slopping Edead V3 liquid on the plastic panel for the hatch door. Should give it some nice weight... I'll put Edead V4 on top of this side as well so it'll be foam on foam when the panel meets the hatch door.

Civic_19_Battery_More.jpg

* I decided I wasn't happy with the under-hood wiring so I added another 1/0 ground -- this one from the battery directly to the engine block. I also added a second 4 gauge wire from the alternator to it's factory location on the distribution center -- the other 4 gauge wire goes directly to the battery from the alternator.

Civic_20_Ground.jpg

* This is where my 1/0 battery to engine block ground connects. I also have a 4 gauge engine block to chassis ground hooked up here as well as you can see.

I'm done for the day today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm shocked you can sit still long enough to do a project like this given all the Dew and Red Bull you apperently slammed by the looks of this pic! Caffiene jitters FTW!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif

*laughs*

Believe it or not those aren't mine. My brother slammed the Red Bulls when we did his truck a few weeks ago and my Dad drinks Mountain Dew like it's going to be illegal in a week, and he has helped me with the Civic project a bit. The "can pile" is for recycling... just kinda throw all the carboard and aluminum in a pile until I can take it away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Haven't gotten much done since the last round, but I'll get more up soon since I will hopefully get the headliner out this weekend and start laying down my Second Skin Damplifier (which came in yesterday) up there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And jim said I was being Anal about the sound deadening in the chit box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Looks good sir //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I started on the roof last night. I deadened about half of it with Second Skin Damplifier... pictures coming later of that.

I'm still slacking on the drivers door... but it'll get done.
