System is tuned shitty

My friend borrowed my amp and screwed with my settings. Now, I cannot get them back to what they were before. I didnt tune it myself, I had the shop do it so Im not sure what they had all the settings at. But my system is sounding like shit. Sometimes the subs will just cut out, then I turn off and on the HU and they come back on. Can somebody please tell me what each setting should be relatively at? Its hard to mess with cause my neighbors are *****es so Id have to go to a parking lot to mess with it

Why does it matter if your neighbors are dicks

Its not like you have to tune at 150 debeez

Close all the doors of the car and listen at a moderate volume and they shouldn't be able to hear shit

And it looks like the only settings on your amp would be the crossover, subsonic filter, and gain. Its pretty hard to say where it was before, but I would try the sub crossed at 80-100hz with a 20hz subsonic filter, and adjust the gain down to match the volume of the rest of the components.

And if your subs cut out your amp is likely going into thermal protection mode, so stop wanging on your shit so hard and turn the gain down

Either the gain is set up too high. Set down the gain until it sounds good, then set it down a LITTLE more.

Or your amp is screwed.

honestly, if it still seems like its giving power.. then i doubt your friend really did anyhting wrong.. and you dont really "tune" an amp...

the only thing that might make a difference is where the highpass -low pass filters are set.. and making sure you have the right one selected for a sub (low pass) and make sure he didnt mess with the bass boost at all (which might have something to do with how it sounds/cuts out).. other than that.. its probaly exactly how it was, slightly louder, or lower, if he messe dwith the gain

and I beleive I have my sub woofer setting on "2"

Check the HPF, LPF and Gain on the amp. on my 1606 it didn't sound right until i screwed with the filters. also turn on the filter on head unit. it will make a difference and keep the component speakers from playing frequency that are to low.
