Ok, before you guys say anything, the box is not TOTALLY finished. I believe that it will look 460% better when I get the carpet on than it does now. Also, I have all the install pics but I will upload those later.

ONE HUGE PROBLEM!

After I got all this stuff installed I turned the car on and the engine whine problem was quadrupled compared to when I just ran my speaker amplifier in the trunk. It is HORRIBLE //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif! Now it is not only a whine but also a loud distortion noise (this distortion noise varys with the rumble of the engine and the rpms, the whine varys with the rpms). The crazy thing is, when I put the parking break ON the problem gets A LOT less noticable. I can not hear or feel anything comming from the subwoofer. Do you guys have ANY idea what is going on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif? One time I drove around the house and the distortion noise just stopped? (although the whine was still present)

Fixed The Pictures...

Ok, the distortion noise just comes and goes now???? Last night I was pulling into my yard and as I downshifted the noise got LOUD //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif! This morning when I got off work I could only hear a slight whine which is not heard after I turn the volume up past 5.

I will sort through all of your suggestions and do the ones that I haven't tried but so far absolutely nothing has worked. I have tried the following:

grounded amp to chasis,

grounded hu to chasis,

grounded hu directly to battery,

grounded rca's on amplifier,

ground loop isolator (worked but small popping noises were present),

plus quite a few other things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

I currently have the headunit grounded on the ground wire for the amplifier. This means that there is about 4 feet of 0 gauge leading from the negative terminal on the battery to 4 feet of 10 gauge and 4 feet of 0 guage leading to the head unit and the amplifiers. (That probly sounds stupid but I was running out of options and HAD to try it, haha).
