System in progress(pics)

Now that I am making money again, I will be buying a new system. Since I am a highschool student, going into college next year, I'm not going too big on this install. This doesn't mean that I am going to neglect any aspect of the install though. I will be doing all of the installing myself, so I know that it will be done right. Also, this will be my first real install in MY car. I've done a couple for some buddies, they all turned out great. So I'm really looking forward to doing mine.

All of the new gear will be going in my '97 Taurus SHO. I already have a Pioneer 6800mp for the deck. That was sort of annoying to install, stupid electronic climate control.... (pics below) Anywho, I plan on running a Phoenix Gold x200.4. The front two channels running Crystal SSCS 6s and the rear bridged to run a 12" sub of some sort. I'm leaning towards an Ascendant Audio Assassin for the sub. From what I'ver heard, they can't be beat for the price. I will also buy a Knukonceptz wiring kit and some 1/0 to do the Big 3. I will be properly deadening the doors and the trunk as well.

Now, I have a couple questions....

1) Is it safe to install my component crossovers in the doors? If not, where would you recommend?

2) Will a 4-guage wiring kit be suffecient for my application?

3) Any tips or recommendations when I begin my installation?

they will be fine in the doors...

2) Will a 4-guage wiring kit be suffecient for my application?

i would run 1/0 right off the bat just incase you upgrade later....

nice install on the deck..

Thanks for all of the compliments. It's appreciated.

Regarding the comment about there not enough power to the sub... It should be at least 400wrms to one sub. I'll most likely be doing a ported enclosure, which will help make it a little louder. Also, I am looking more for sound quality than loudness. I personally can't stand it when the bass is overpowering the rest of the music.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I just realized that ther power terminal on the x200.4 only goes up to 4-guage wire. Should I be able to fit some 1/0 in there? If not, perhaps I could be able to do some "trimming". //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
