System in a Hybrid?

Is it possible to put a system in a Hybrid. Idk anything about hybrids, but i know their batteries are like 110V or something way up there. Thanks, Andrew

There should be a 12V battery for the gas engine. Those can't run at 200+ volts.

Other than that potential setback, I don't see how it's any different than a regular car.

I've also seen a nice system installed in a Prius Hybrid, but I don't know any details on it.

The electric motors are only connected directly to the high voltage batteries. A hybrid will have a regular gas engine along with all the regular components, eg alternator and 12v battery.

Yes but the gasoline engine doesn't run all the time. So unless the electric motor is also spinning the alternator, you have a problem, because while the car may have a beastly battery bank for the electric motor, the 12v system all the electronics run off of is still just a single battery and alternator, and if that battery isn't getting charged most of the time you have voltage issues.

I'm sure the engineers who designed hybrid vehicles thought of that because all the 12v electronics in the car still run while the gasoline engine is turned off, so there's gotta be some way that the battery is being charged while in electric mode. I just don't know how.

Doing the big 3 on a hybrid may be closer to the big 3829834

A diesel engine (not shown) drives the prime mover power source 102 (e.g., an alternator and rectifier), as well as any auxiliary alternators (not shown) used to power various auxiliary electrical subsystems such as, for example, lighting, air conditioning/heating, blower drives, radiator fan drives, control battery chargers, field exciters, and the like. The auxiliary power system may also receive power from a separate axle driven generator. Auxiliary power may also be derived from the traction alternator of prime mover power source 102.
