System for an 07 wrx

Hey guys, looking to improve the sound in my 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX TR Sedan.

• Looking to spend around $500-$600 now, and maybe some more later on (Trying to spend most my money on parts that make my car faster for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )
   
  
• I am not opposed to buying used stuff.
   
  
• Sound Quality is much more important than loudness, and I'm looking to keep the sub setup small and subtle (not into booming bass).
   
  
• I listen to pretty much everything (folk to hip hop to classic rock to jazz to techno), so I'll want a pretty balanced system.
  

Any recommendations for me?

As a side not, someone local offered to sell me there Pioneer Premier P880 /w ipod controller for $225. Is that a good deal, and a good HU?

Has anyone PM-ed you advice for your Subaru?

I am in the same situation. I have an 07 WRX sedan, and all i've upgraded is the head unit. I'm looking to change front speakers and add an amp and sub in the trunk.

Appreciate to learn fro, your experience with your subaru, and advice of others, if any.

I would assume that your trying to stay light weight as well since your a tuner?? That said I would recommend one 12" Mag v4 with a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D. You can get a combo deal for $550 and that shipping included. The Mag v4 only needs a 1 foot cubic sealed enclosure so you will be able to save some room in your trunk too.
