System for a 2006 Mustang

I have a 2006 Mustang with the stock 4 speaker system in it.

I want to completely redo the system with a head, speakers, sub(s), and amp.

I chose a head, the Pioneer FH P8000BT:

Pioneer USA - FH-P8000BT - Double-DIN CD Receiver with Built-In Bluetooth® Wireless and USB Direct Control of iPod

My budget is between $1,000 and $1,500.

I want good sound quality over loudness, and I listen to rock music, so sub wise, I just need something so I can hear the bass and the double bass pedals and it will go well with the music the way it was made to be. Would I need 10's or 12's? Would I need 1 sub or 2?

Also, which is better, XM or Sirius?

sirius and xm has merged together almost 2 yrs now. their programming costs the same amount. so it's all just about which channel line up you like best. and really, it's only worth getting if you either 1. don't have alot of channels to choose from or 2. are in the car ALOT. i love it, (i have sirius) but then again i'm a truck driver so i'm all over hells cre8ion. unless you're in the car for 4hrs or more a day, there's always ipod.
