System doesnt work...

So, i installed the current system in my sig into my van. I'm using a LOC, i hooked it up to the wires thats behind my stock deck, i connect the wires on the LOC that matched the ones on my radio harness. My remote wire is connected to the red wire on my harness. I hooked up my power wire like how i was asking in this thread ( http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=210520 ). I connected the ground to my amp to a hole that was already in the rear, i used a nut & bolt to hold it down.

1. what could be the problem that makes my amp not turn on?

2. Also i know when i grounded my amp i didnt completly sand down the area, could that be the problem?

3. What do you guys think the problem could be?

1: amp not getting power (either from the remote wire, or the power wire) if you had a digital multi meter, you could test to see if your getting power

2: yes you NEED to have a BARE solid metal surface to ground the amp

Try to sand it all the way so that there is no paint , make sure to check all of your wiring , check fuses.

ok, ill sand it down tomorrow to bare metal and ill check the fuses again.

I checked the fuse for the power wire and it wasnt burnt, but i didnt get to check the fuses on the amp.

Yeah check all the fuses , wiring , power cable to the battery and yeah make sure u sand it down to bare metal. let everyone know what happens we'll all try and help ya from there.

well i sanded down to bare metal on my ground. but now my next problem is that i get no output to my subs? when i wired up the LOC i did it like this.

grey on LOC - grey on harness

grey/black on LOC - grey/black on harness.

what could be the problem? My RCAs are plugged in, should i take my stock deck out again and check to see the wiring and if the RCAs are still plugged in? Also did i have to connect the black [ground wire] on the LOC to the black [ground] on my harness?

well it looks like i have a faulty LOC.

yup, i noticed when i was turning the knobs up on it, it would give me subs a signal for a sec then it wouldnt work anymore. the bad thing is that i cant find the receipt for it so, now im stuck with this broken LOC.

when hooking up my LOC do i have to connect the ground wire? becuase i didnt.
