System Control Wire Jack, Where Do You Get the Plug?

I have a Sony Xplod CDX-GT42OU HU (yeah I know they ****) that I am connecting to an amplifier. There is a vacant jack in the back of the HU that I am assuming is for the system remote control wire. Does anybody know where I can get the plug for this jack?? I went to PC Richards and the dope looked at me like I was speaking swahili.

The thing circled in red is the "jack" i was asking about. I don't see anywhere else the system control wire would go. Do you know?

that is a cd changer control cable plug. that's where you would plug the sony cd changer. if your looking for the "remote" wire to turn the amps on and off with the wire you want is blue.

and honestly if your that car audio inept then i recommend finding someone else to do it.

Thanks for your help. If I had somebody do it, it would be kinda hard to lose my car audio ineptness wouldn't it?

not really you could watch and learn but there's the chance of you messing things up totally if done incorrectly and i'd hate for you to fry something. also it may be blue or blue/white one is for car amp one is for car's anntena. and yes it does matter on some radios

Honestly, the best way to learn is to experiment and ask questions. He came, he's asking questions, and then he'll probably go out and try it. Don't criticize him for asking questions and trying to learn :/

Like it was said, the wiring diagram on top of the HU should say which wires are which. Typically, it'll be the blue one, which, depending on how it's set up there, you'll want to splice onto, and run the wire from it to the amplifier. And it'll be part of the wiring harness - not a separate jack.

Hope that helps.

On the left do you see those White and red Plugs? those are where the RCA wires connect to, you would connect the rcas to there and run them to the head unit, unless that black wire in the top left corner has rcas comming off it to

it should say sub out or somthing along those lines, after that you need to tap into either the remote wire on the radio harness ( blue/white wire)

Or into the Red wire on the harness

your right pluto and i'm sorry op this forum is getting to me. pluto's right there should be a diagram on top of the head unit if not check sony's website and it'll tell you what's what.

Thanks for your help guys. Before I read this I went to PC Richards where I had the HU installed for free and the guy showed me the remote wire. All I have to figure out now is the RCA cables. I have a separate thread posted with questions about that if you're interested in helping this newb further. Thanks again.
