Well as the title expains....i think my car is confused. I ask this questions before trying the big 3 because I had my system in a different car before.
Problem Identification: subs lose power during hard acceleration, and extreme turns. (no problem in other car [1997 Olds Cutlass Supreme, now drive a 1990 Toyota Celica])
Other Variables: wierd engine whine in 2nd-->5th gear (sometimes first, not constant) --- friend claims it is the alternator? However it only makes the noise when you accelerate/have gas pedal down at all.
I have good power & good ground
My Plan of Action:
1. ask you guys for any assistence in possible causes
2. switch over to my other headunit some crappy Dual now/ Pioneer Deh4900ib (something close to that) -- could be the CD skipping because it cuts out over bumps with a crappy HU = possible solution
Also will try using Ipod with direct cable, to see if the CD is skipping
I prefer the other HU anyways
3. Double Check ground and power wire...just to be 100000% sure
4. possible big 3
5.....hopefully dont have to replace alternator...but might have to.
(if so...what would be a proper replacement)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I have not done much to it for problem solving because everything worked totally fine in my other car. Which makes me think it could be an alternator problem. Yet the alternator was tested at autozone, and the employee said that it was fine....
Any ideas/ help = greatly appriciated. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
