switching to 14 gauge wire

for my sub, the set screw connection won't fit (2) 10 gauge wires so that I can do a parallel connection

I am switching to 14 gauge wire so that I can do the parallel connection in the sub box interior.

Should I also change the wire to 14 gauge from the amp to the sub box?

Are there any negative aspects of having 10 gauge wire from the amp to the box and 14 gauge wire inside the box?
