Swapping out D300 will I need a Different Harness?

you will just be able to use the same harness. but you will not be able to plug it in to your new deck, you will have to cut the wires and re-wire it.
I will have to cut the wires?

where do I get the metal bit that goes on the end of the wire to use it in the harness?

what are you talking about? do you mean the bit that plugs into the back of your original CD player? there will be wires that come already hooked up to your new cd player. and you will just color match those the the wiring harness that should be plugged into your factory wiring harness. factory wire harness--wire harness adapter--cd player wires. thats how it should go.

How does the wire attach to the harness? it isn't a crimp on male connector?
