do you really think b/c your speedometer has 160 that your car can really reach that? go peg that speedo than let me know.

mine tops at 140.. i got it to 135 no mods.. at around 3-4k i was saying i don't think it takes 250hp to get over 140..

I loved my GTP, talk about an awesome car... nothing like a speedy car with all the luxeries inside and not to mention HUD kicks ***. I vote gtp... go check out glub grand prix and zzperformance... i really dont think you can go wrong with a gtp... I also had just two JL w3v2's in mine sealed with a cube each and a decent sized rf amp years ago.. it slammed hard as hell... all around great car for all and any needs...

The SVT were still slow. More than 15 second quarter at 170 hp.

I have seen a few turbo focus in the 12's, and one with a cobra motor that ran high 10's.

If you're looking for domestic, an 04-05 Grand Prix GTP can be had for less than 10k with not horribly high miles... if you find a CompG packaged GTP the governor is around 150 i believe... of course that can be removed with a PCM flash...That car would have an Eaton m90 that can easily be changed to a mid 13 second car with just a few mods...

other cars with the same charger would be a Regal GS, Bonneville SSEi, Park Ave., Impala SS, and Monte Carlo SS of fairly recent years..

Did they superchange those lame FWD Impalas? Becuase none of the old RWD ones from the 90's ever had a supercharger from the factory.

the gp gxp's and newer impala ss's are v8's

but a buddy of mine has a 98 gp with an eaton s/c and its pretty quick

only other car that i can think of that is superchaged and hasn't been mentioned are the earlier (not the WAY ealier) mini coopers. the newer once are turbo though...

plenty of turbo cars to choose from:

mitsubishi 3000gt/dodge stealth

mitsubishi eclipse/eagle talon/plymouth laser

mitsubishi 300zx

datsun 280zx

dodge srt 4

to name a few affordable ones

but i agree with the posts above, putting a turbo on a car is way cooler. i've only seen one genII dakota with a turbo and a small handful with superchargers, and i think they're killer

Why don't you just get an SRT-4. In your price range and can make big power and be fast very easily. Cobalt SS would be another choice. The VWs are nice and easy to mod too, but parts are expensive.
