Anyone in the Florida area?

I'm in hawaii and i grad next year, i'm thinking of moving to florida to start off.

I heard it was cheap living up there. And not as hard to get jobs.

I was wondering of any good community colleges, jobs, ect.

Any help will be much appriciated.

yea they have great schools here...as for jobs...it depends where you go..and again cheap living depends on the location you choose. Like its like 2-3 times more expensive in South Tampa then North Tampa, etc etc

Me and my roommates are getting a new place next year, 5 bedroom, 3 bath, $1050 a month. Not sure how that is compared to the rest of the country, but seems pretty cheap for us.

This is in the West Palm Beach area.

Thats huge! and CHEAP! hawaii is sooo expensive! Its 1100 for a studio appt. 1 room 1 bath no yard nothin!

you should move to FL ( a coastal city, not some inland town), its better than Hawaii overall to live IMO

move to sarasota, u'll like it. close to everything

it depends where you go and what you want to do. I would recommend moving somewhere on the coast as there are usually seasonal jobs etc. Look into sarasota/bradenton area. cool place. Otherwise south florida is definitely not bad.

Houses are ridiculously cheap right now, especially out on the west coast. Colleges are a plenty over here you would have no problems with that transition.

even arcadia, its 45 mins from sarasota and 30 mins from port charlotte, and colleges all around, edison, kieser, SFCC several others. In arcadia you can find a place very cheap around 400-500 bucks for 2 bed 2 bath new places too. Not a big town either but 30-45 mins from pc, sarasota, bradenton, ft.myers perfect place in my book

Hows the beach/ Night scene in sarasota? Good colleges there? looking for a business degree.

I'm in the metro-orlando area. Great community colleges, Valencia CC, Seminole CC, and not to mention the University of Central Florida! Great nightlife in dowtown and on the university side. Dirt cheap homes, pretty cheap apartments and the job market is decent right now around here too. Oh yeah.. and only 30 mins from the beach.

Fort Lauderdale has a great beach / night scene as well. Broward college has campus scattered all over. About 40 minutes or so away from Miami / South Beach area and there's always something to do down here.
