Sorry to hear that. You are welcome to come out. I hope we end up having a good show.

The biggest thing IMO. Most sundown buys are new to a higher end of preformance. This underrated stuff gets old. They are using cheap amps or have no idea how dynamics work.
Heck look at all the $50 kicker comps running on all knobs to the right boss amps for years. That's durable in my mind but we call kicker junk.
Thank you, seriously. It needed to be said

Yes, I would feel comfortable with a single sub setup using an SA. For the longest time I had a single SA 10 on a Fosgate T1000-BDCP in my F250. Box was close to recommended specs but tuned a bit lower. It surprised tons of people when they found out it was only 1 10. Again, it's really going to depend on your power to see which one is a better fit. I would say every sub you listed could have comparable results. Whichever sub you ran wouldn't break Physics and you will always be limited by power handling. I personally wouldn't consider any of the choices a ground pounder setup (I don't consider mine a ground pounder setup), but any one has the potential to get decently loud and definitely show you were you need to deaden or reinforce your vehicle. See how much clean power you can get with your budget and make a decision from there.
Yeah, I know it's not a true ground pounder setup, but that's all relative, lol. Having over 140 db in my personal vehicle would be pretty awesome. But, I've heard some 150 setups at comps that didn't really impress me with that being said. It's weird how that works. A lot of this is I was just genuinely curious about where Sundown stood compared to some of the higher brands. I am thinking of doing a one sub setup in one of my vehicles, but I do a decent amount of installs on the side these days and wanted to know how well to recommend the SA series against things like Fi, etc. And most of the people who I do installs for either have never had subs or have very, very bad setups and have never heard anything above 130db in their life. Their minds tend to be blown listening to my subs, lol. Let alone an actual comp grade system in the upper 140's.

This is a train wreck of a post. WTF really.
Are you saying you could do it? You could custom tool parts (which includes several rounds of failure to get it juuust right), order moq (usually a container full), factor in advertising and warranty costs, as well as other overhead, deal with the build house and the language barrier, and perhaps even go there to ensure compliances are met, and then provide support for said product to include box suggestions, quality control and a vast array of other things, for the price of an sa... While remaining profitable? Let's not even factor in the TIME it takes (which should be worth something). If not plain and simple, go f#ck yourself with your pathetic idea of what a "fair price" is. Just because some jackass at american bass can order another companies product with a different dustcap for cheaper, does not a superior product make.

If you cannot understand how true this post is.... Well, enjoy slaving away at a dead end job, hoping for a half day off.

This is just a blanket statement. Not everything different is better.

This post really is full of bad information & ignorance about business / the history of Sundown Audio. I guess not everyone has followed us since the beginning so it happens.
Thanks for the post Jacob. It definitely increased the respect I have for the SA line. I knew you guys used custom parts and that, to me, sets you above many other companies that just use off the shelf parts to slap something together. So let me ask you this, do you feel confident that say an SA 12 D2 could be pushed to 40mm excursion almost every day and hold up for a few years (at or near rated power, not slapping something stupid of it like a lot of other people do)?

More of a hypothetical question than an actual goal.

awe **** happens man.. just gotta bounce back.. i got something good brewing better than the original.. i'm not putting a system in my g37. its a freaking nightmare plus i want it to loose weight.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i still have subs sitting around not being used.. got a few friends that have cars we could put a burp box in but i doubt they wanna drive. they not big into audio like i was..

The SA-12 has 19mm linear by 70% BL one-way and 20mm linear by 50% CMS change one-way; so 40mm p-p on the SA series is absolutely no problem for any period of time.

No. I was saying that you are a complete moron for the statement you left before. Find a better product but has never owned sundown. Sa

STFU you clown. It's easy to see you are probably a worker or someone connected to sundown with the join date and jumping on this thread so hard.

Dead end job lol. Glad you think so. I make good money for what I do by keeping ungrateful people like you safe at night *******. Keep playing and watch me do a magic trick you'll regret. Better know the people you are talking smack at.
