Sundown sa-8 t-line power limit

hmm... so thats what that is. ive seen a lot of people with home systems using t line enclosures and wondered what they were called. **** those things are massive... do you sacrifice bandwidth for output with these?

No you don't. A t can play a full octave below box tuning.

Yeah I know I would need as much power. So how do a t-line and a labyrinth compare? I'll look it up also

The whole purpose of a t is to get loud on little power. My one hds210 was 25-30% louder than when I had both in a ported. On the ported box I was giving both subs 1200rms@1ohm. In the t I was giving the one 600rms@2ohm.

So will it be true that I could built a L port box and give it tons of power and would be as loud as a t-line?

All depends on what you mean. If you're saying an 8" in a ported with a lot of power compared to the same 8 in a tline on less power I would say the t will be louder. I got a big increase using one sub against the two in the ported.

See problem is space. If that wasn't an issue I would get a re sx 12 since I love the 18 I have. But they call for so much space to sound good. So the sa 8? So I will have to find a good amp. Might just get a sundown 600

I've never had to go above rated rms. Even gone below and still get great output.
