Sundown Audio SA-10 box help

Ok what would be optimum box size for this sub ported and I will mess around with space and measurements? I want to get the best out of this sub as it is only 10"
I really appreciate the input thank you

Dan
Remember those dimensions you listed, double the width from 15 to 30/32 and it'll be big enough. Yup A proper box is that big.

I am trying to build the box to fit in here under the floor away from the wife and kids and not taking up to much boot space car is BMW X5 2011.

Before you try and force something in a small box, please read the recent threads on here regarding sa10s in a prefab, and then again in properly designed box

Ok if i change to Sa8 you reckon it would perform better than the 10" sealed?

Any ideas with my max dimensions and port size? aero or l shape port?

yes an 8 would work a lot better. Has to be aero. Slot will not be anywhere near enough port area.

Do you have room for a pair of 2 inch round ports or one 3 inch port to portrude out of the box? You have the airspace but you dont have the length of the box to get a proper box tuning.

this is with .5 inch thickness wood, use plywood or baltic birch, its stronger than mdf.

Ok I can do that. I have never had much experience with these subs. I have the sa-10 here in the U.K now not sure if it is worth importing a Sa-8 over as the shipping is a killer on these subs. I really appreciate the info and the time. I will have another look at measurements tomorrow see if there is any way can get some more space. What cu ft would I need and port size to get the best from sa-10. Sundown qoute between 1 cu ft and 1.25 @35z

yeah 1.25 cubic feet NET meaning after subtracting the space the sub and port takes up along with the wood thickness. Which literally would require 1.5-1.75 Gross cubic feet starting. I'd just suck it up and lose some cabin space in all honesty. Make it so its easy to disconnect safely if you ever need to use the cargo area, it's simple to do.
