Sundown Audio Amplifiers

some tests were done by some western canadians on the 1500d with some disappointing results.
And you still believe those after all of the hundreds of people that say otherwise? Come on now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif What about when Jordy swapped the Stetsom 7KD out mid-show for two 1500Ds and gained SPL? So does the 7KD not do any power now too? For those that don't know the conditions -- it was a Street-A setup.

In case you forgot:

JordyO:

"Yup... on a straight drop in test (in the middle of a show actually) ... my score jumped from a 149.3 to a 149.9 just by switching from a Stetsom to the pair of Sundowns."

and

JordyO:

"Voltage dropped to 11.2v from 13.9

Current: 31.2a

Voltage: 98.2v

Wattage: 3063.84w

Impedance: 3.14 Ohms

So... with each amp seeing just a hair over 1.5Ohms and running on 11.2v they were putting out 1532 watts."

I think Wagonized is stalking you Jacob;)

one bad result vs. 20 positives that I've seen.

I've been very happy with my results with Sundown amps.

144.8 with a Single SAZ-1500 on a single 15" Magnum tuned to 32hz...out of a trunk, seats folded up.

149.5 with 4 SAZ-1500's on 2 DD 9510's in the same trunk with voltage dropping to 10.9v, tuned to 35hz

I will be running 4 SAZ-3000d's in my new project, and feel good about doing it.

Nah, I think he actually believes those bad results were accurate for some reason... I'm sure he's smarter than that, so I'm not sure why he insists on bringing it up over and over again.

Simple logic tells you that if an experiment has been done 100 times and one time the result was different... that that one time was probably a mistake. Hence why in real science they *repeat* the experiment quite a few times as one result doesn't really say much -- and a whole stack of people say contrary to the one negative Western Canadian conclusion.
