Sundown 1500 going into Protect at loud volumes

The ones in the front each have their own 2/0 wire going to the chassis. The ones in the back are wired together to the same 2/0 wire coming directly off the chassis. I used a wire brush attachment on my drill to clean the metal really good before connecting the wire. I have the sundown grounded to one of the back batteries. I have tried moving the wire to a seat bolt just to test it, and it still went into protect.

I checked all coils, and they all float between 1.7 and 1.8. Is this normal, or should they rest at a particular number and not change? I ran a 1/0 wire directly off my battery into the amp, bypassing all fuse holders, connections, etc and it still went into protection. I also ran a new ground of 1/0 directly to the chassis. As soon as I begin to turn it up it goes into protection. I have a Sony deck, and a Clarion EQ. I tried new RCAs, and I also tried bypassing the eq and hooked the RCAs directly to the deck. I have also changed out all fuses. Now, I have the amp just hooked up to one of the subs, and it works perfect. Never goes into protection. I have no idea what to even try next.

i would imagine you are getting short circuit protection on the output side. with .5 load thats going to be common. try wiring your subs up in impedance and see if you are reaching a protection scenario. i would bet the ranch it will be great on 1-2 ohm load.

That's what I did when hooking up to just one sub...that puts it into a 1 ohm load and it's fine....but I've had it running both subs perfectly in a different vehicle, and I've even had it running both in this current vehicle with no problems. I'm just not sure what is wrong now.
