Suggestions on a single 18" please.

I want to go to a single 18" sub, but I want to keep the same SQL that my 2 RL-p's have given me. Air space isn't an issue, and I would like to have it ported. hmm... in the right enclosure i'd think an sx would sound alright... would definately get loud

x2, if you have the room to let it breath, and tune it low, the SX would be a good choice.

also look into XXX 18's they may not be quite as loud as the SX but from what i have heard the SQ is pretty decent.

I run a single SX 18 in my 1999 Suburban and I absolutely love it.

Its being pushed off a 12.1 and the enclosure is 6.5cu^ft tuned to 34hz

Its not a 18 but u should try the rl-s 15 it should be a monster if airspace isnt a problem

I agree, but needs all that power at 4 ohms. The rl-s only comes in 4 ohm. Gettin 2000 rms at 4 ohm is pretty tuff and xpensive.

Currenly I'm running 2 15" RL-p's with 1800w to them in a box of 7cubes before sub/port diplacment. I just want to do something different with 1 18". I have the room for pretty much anything, but $$$ is my limmit. ooh, and, you might be able to send your RL-p's into TC sounds and see if they can recone them into some sort of tc9 18's.

i wouldnt expect more than 150ish.

baskets are cheapy.

the 18" Avalanche Was an amazing SQL Subwoofer...I loved mine....I talked to chad about it, and hes supposed to be bring out another 18 incher out sometime (soon hopefully) probably going to be a havoc. That Ava had awesome SQ and got **** loud

btw Deadbeat...I have a 1999 Subaraban to....a white one...and i used to have a 18" Sub in the Sub like you do..
