There is something wrong with your electrical then. You should not have any dimming if your battery is staying above 12v, once it drops below that is where you start seeing problems. I've never had any problems with any vehicle I have owned with dimming unless it was dropping below 12v.That's funny because I never drop below 13v and in most cases 14v and I still get pretty bad dimming. Not everyones vehicles are the same. I'd also like to know how any part of my post was dumb? lol. I'd say it's pretty dumb to say you need to drop to 12v to get dimming.
i probably have said that ..it was tossed around many times between me and you anyway.Didn't realize that was you man >.> didn't you say you were going to kick my azz?![]()
I've seen dimming in a TON of vehicles that don't drop anywhere near 12v it has nothing to do with my electrical. My brothers brand new Dodge has dimming off 2 ohms and 950rms it just happens, sometimes it's the bulbs and not related to the voltage at all. There is something wrong with your electrical then. and not to add fuel to the fire but for future reference now that I know who you are lulz to you...i probably have said that ..it was tossed around many times between me and you anyway.
Are you still trying to post stupid ****? We're talking about dimming from car audio not ****** headlight bulbs. If your dimming from bulbs, then you're gonna dim period, but if you're dimming due to car audio, its because you are dropping below 12v.I've seen dimming in a TON of vehicles that don't drop anywhere near 12v it has nothing to do with my electrical. Then explain to me what could be wrong with my vehicle to make me dim @ 13.5-14v?...Are you still trying to post stupid ****? We're talking about dimming from car audio not ****** headlight bulbs. I agree alternator should be the FIRST thing upgraded in a vehicle but a lot of people like myself don't want to drop that much money into their older vehicles. My complaint is that it keeps being said that if you upgrade your audio you do not need an alt.
That is simply untrue. Perhaps this is something that needs to have its own post again and have some math put behind it to help explain why it is this way and why buying extra batteries is only a "band aid".
Faulty connections some where. This can include ground wires and power wires. Then explain to me what could be wrong with my vehicle to make me dim @ 13.5-14v?...
