I'm looking for 1 10" woofer that needs to work well in a small/tiny enclosure -- perhaps 0.5 cu. ft w/ woofer at most? In addition, I will only be feeding the woofer between 200 and 220 watts rms.
My amp is a Phoenix Gold Xenon 100.4. I will bridging the amp's rear channels to drive the woofer. The manual for my amp can be found here: ftp://208.187.38.55/Phoenix_Gold/Manuals/Amplifiers/XENON/xenonampmanual.pdf.
According to the manual, it does 100x4 into 4,2,1 ohm stereo, and does 200x2 into 8,4, and 2 ohm bridged.
I always get confused with bridging, but I believe the amp sees half of the speaker's impedance when bridged? Therefore, a dual 2 ohm, single 4 ohm and dual 8 ohm would be ideal? Or can a dual 4 ohm be okay?
I was going to go with the Image Dynamics IDQ Dual 2 ohm, but it appears one cannot find an IDQ available and something seems to be up with the company. So I've decided to move on and look for something else.
I feel like my options are very limited, but I'm hoping I can get some recommendations. If there's anything available at http:///www.sounddomain.com, that's even better as I can get a pretty good discount.
I can get the Eclipse SW4000 for $25 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif, but I really don't know if this will sound okay.
