if i had one run of 4 gauge running a opti1400D (1000 watts @ 1 ohm)

and then a run of 8 gauge running a usamps1600.2 (200x2 @ 4 ohms)

each with their own respective fuses...

i had the opti in my car with 4 gauge that wasnt a problem, i was just wondering if adding a second run which would be 8 gauge to run the 1600.2 would be ok?

also big 3 will be done in 0 gauge shortly thereafter

LOL, you dont need 0g for 1200w.

To the OP, just do exactly what you said and it will be fine. You can do a separate run of 8g, or run the 4g into a D block. which ever is easier for you.

yeah I think it would be easier to do a run of 1/0 and then you could use the free 8 ga to hook up the smaller amp after the d-block and you could just save the rest of it for future use...I used some 8 ga today putting my old kenwood back in while my jl is being repaired...i think it had been sitting in a box for like 5 years/

so what do you guys suggest...a separate run of 8 gauge for just the 200x2 amp...or run 1400 watts off of a single run of 4 gauge with a distro
