I have about 10-15 hours on my sub now and was very pleased of the quality and the loudness that it put out all day everyday. Until one day on a colder morning I was playing my sub like normal but it sounded like it's not producing the full output that it use to put out. My mirror still goes all the way down when it's hitting a good note but it's just not putting out the feel that I got from it that it use to put out. It doesn't sound as full sounding and is considerably more quiet by about 20% is what I would say. I have an alpine mrx-m100 amp and a alpine type r 10 inch woofer in a sealed box. Giving it 1000 watts rms from the amp. My gain settings are on the low side and the bass eq is on 0. It's acting really weird and I just want to get my bump back that it use to put out! Any help would be appreciated really want to fix this!

Wiring problem??? torn spiders? coils scraping blown tinsel lead...could be anything...push on sub and listen for sounds take it out and inspect well
I've pushed on it and everything seems normal wiring is good it still works fine but its just not putting out the big hits that it use to. They're like 20% quieter for some reason. I can tell that it's very much quieter at 25 volume than which it was when it was working good at 25 volume before. Overall, like I said it sounds 20% quieter and I have no idea what it is

My mirror still is moving like it did before, I just can't feel the hit as much as it use to in my body. I put my hand in front of my woofer when it was playing and it felt like a normal fan speed of air on my hand. I don't know if that's normal or not or if there's a big leak.

Pull sub out and check it over good..also check the coils ohm with dmm could have fried a coil
It's in a sealed box, in a hard spot to get to in my car. Would take A LOT of time and work just to check the sub. I would have to re-do the entire box again with glue and wouldn't want to put the wood nails back in the same holes, if I was lucky and not have to re-do the entire box because it's covered in carpet. I have already have used this box twice.

I don't think anything is wrong with the subs coils it's something else but can't think of anything.

Also... Colder days vs Warmer days electrical systems will act differently... amps will take longer to warm up etc.. between the summer and winter here where I live, I will have 20-30% in output for about 30mins to an hour of play depending on how cold everything is.

torn surround maybe.

I think this is what's happening to me. Because I let my car sit in the sun for about 5 hours one day and it worked perfectly after it was all warm inside my car from the heat. It must be the cold weather cause I can't think of anything else
