Hi, I'll be straight up and say I caused this problem myself. I didn't realize my subwoofer had slid to the very back wall of my trunk bc my trunk flooring was slanted at the time. So my sub was banging against the wall of my trunk with no space in between for a good day before I realized it. Save the comments, I know I'm an idiot for not properly securing the box...
That said, is this something that's fixable, or is my sub done? this is a video of how it sounds currently. You can hear the sound the highest on the right side of the box, near the box terminal (which is screwed in tight, so I don't think it's that)
I read that this could be from moving parts on the sub itself but when I pull out the sub from the box it doesn't seem like there's anything that's shaking around or anything. video of the sub outside the box
High volumes the bass is still bumping, but low volumes it sounds awful because this shaking/cackling sound overpowers the lower hits. Time for a new sub (and better box securing) or is this fixable?
