Subwoofer enclosure

Hi all,

Do you know where I can get enclosures that not only sound good, but are easy on the eyes? I have a custom built enclosure now tuned to 34Hz, it sounds good, but looks pretty average. I saw some SSA enclosures from back in 2010 - they had a red port, it was curved, and wasn't carpeted, but had a black coat. It also had a huge SSA logo on the top. Do you know of any place or anyone who can build something similar or just something different in general? I think those were tuned to 32Hz, which is pretty perfect for me.

You can try painting the box yourself if you like the sound. If you want a custom box with logos, curved angles, and nice paint and stuff, it's going to cost you. 32 hz should sound better but 34 is louder for sure. It depends on what you want.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not concerned with spending money on something I really like because I usually keep stuff for a long time. I've run the same stuff for 7 years and just now upgraded all the amps and comps. The new woofers also gain cone area - 12 vs 10 and 4db in efficiency. Fs for both is 20Hz, so I'm looking at at about 4.5 cu ft total tuned to 30-32Hz. Do you know of any places specifically that will just build what I want?

I can build you any box you like with anything you want on it.

Here are a few I've done recently:

Nice! Throw some details at me (price, timeline, transaction specifics - I didn't see any reviews for you on here). I don't know what the size or turning frequency should be. Asked B2 and they said they'll run some simulations. All their specs are for sealed boxes only.

Here's the link to the woofer:

You probably know more than me, not sure what the best ported box for these would be. My guess is 4.5 cu ft total @ 31Hz or 5 cu ft @ 30Hz? I have a 2007 accord sedan, so has to fit in that trunk.

This is the cleanest design I've seen so far, not trying to go too crazy. It would be the combination of both of the attached images.

Definitely skipping the SSA logo, probably can be replaced with B2 logo, if doable.

Could not tell you, but you may want to start by going to crutchfield and get a consensus on the 7 or so replacements they recommend. That average...

I would face the port and sub back. Even if you got a soft top, the rear gate will serve as a loading wall. I looked at the specs for the 10w6v3...
