Try jiggling the connectors at the amp and then at the deck end - see if there is a loose connection in the amp inputs or at the deck.

he tried an ipod already direct into the amp

i think he said he couldnt get anything to play at all though...

yea i have an extra pair and i have switched them.. i was saying before.. when i turn off the music theres a low rumbling fron my subs. and when i turn on my headlights or any electrical compnents the subs make noise. what causes that?

i think you have an amp problem, know anyone that will let you swap one in? The rumbling you are talking about is a ground problem, on you amp or on your deck.

is ground loop a factor? because im pretty sure my amp ground is fine. my head unit i grounded to the stock ground wire in the bundle

It sounds like you could have a faulty amp there...

try grounding your rcas at the deck to the case of the deck

If you have the energy, swap that ground out and put it to the chassis.

You don't need to do that - just ground it well to the car chassis.

I think you have some options here to run with. Let us know what comes of it.
