I have 2 JBL p1224's powered by a directed D2400 amp ... I'm putting them in a 2000 pontiac GT

Should i direct the subs towards the backseat?

Or towards the trunk?

It will be louder if facing a hard surface. It is known as corner loading or sub loading. I have always heard 1/2 the diameter of the sub away from the object to load off of. DB gain can be 6-12. So theoretically if you get the gap right you may be able to double your output by firing to the back of your car. You will want to sound deaden your lisence plate though.

The only problem i was worried about was trunk raddle .. Am I better off just dealing with the raddle and facing my subs to the back of the car?

Cant fight trunk rattle by turning your subs
