Subwoofer/Car question

I have heard that honda civics are "bass traps". Do you think this is true? I had 2 15" fosgate subs about 5 years ago and had them for about 4 1/2 years. One day me and my friend swaped subs for a week. He had 2 12" fosgate subs HX2's(mine were the base model subs) and my subs seemed to play louder in his car and his amp had less watts then mine did and we had the same exact headunit. And his subs in my car were no where near as loud as they were in his car. and mine had more power going to them. IDK!! what do you think.

no actually his box was a pre-made bandpass box. Mine was a WAY bigger box 4.6 cubic feet.. if you sat mine by his mine was probably 1 of his + a maybe a half

i have a 95 civic and i dont think they are"bass traps''. ppl just say that because they dont know what they are doing, and put in big boxes and dont deaden the car.

yeah, i was just wondering because i have heard that before and i read that in another fourm and was like HUMMM maybe theres some truth to it since i have tried it with my friends subs
