Subwoofer box larger than vehicle air space????

`94 caprice, 15" Fi BTL
i would imagine that some of these astrovans and suv's with massive walls would have nearly the same if not a larger internal box volumes than the actual air space remaining inside the vehicle after the walls is built.

Is this ludicrous for me to think this or is it reality?

seems like it would be a totally different ball game in terms of design if this was occurring. Anything that needs to be accounted for when this situation approaches?

 
my wall consumes 24 cubic feet of my jeep, leaving about 15 left for the driver //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Only real issue is that you cant drive with it turned up all the way, due to the port being behind my head and between my head & eyeballs wiggling and the windshield doing the same - it's not safe to drive.
