Subwoofer and amp installation question

Hi i bought a new kenwood subwoofer and a new alpine radio, and i just bought a new 1600 watt 4 channel power acoustik amplifier. I wired everything and the amp will turn on but my woofer wont recieve any sound or anything. Can anyone help me with this problem?

you need to share exact model numbers for the sub and amp. if it's a 4 ohm DVC sub, and you've bridged the amp to each coil, that can work well. You just need to know your connections are good, and the wiring is properly configured. One misplaced wire and it won't work.

Power Acoustik amps are known for having issues like this. I avoid them completely.

make sure you have the sub output turned on in the Alpine head unit, and the sub level turned up.

The sub is a 4ohm SVC. you'll only use two of the channels on your amp. You can use the other two channels to power speakers (recommended).

how did you wire it up? diagram of pics of the amp terminals?

use a DMM to verify you measure the coil resistance at the speaker wire ends. Your DMM should measure about 3.6 ohms.

Refer to my PM for more detailed info...
