Give em about 900 watts each, tuned low to 28hz.

Usually people talk about a sub being motor limited vs suspension limited, not thermal versus mechanical. The problem with such a comparison (thermal vs mech) is that the enclosure would drastically affect the comparison.^ oh i am sure but there is ALWAYS a limiting factory when over driven. people like to know if it is thermal or mechy limiting. me personally pefer thermal limiting but i am a bass head and dont count, hate mechy failure when 3-10x rate power...
I'd much rather it be motor limited because it's quite a bit easier to hear the former hit the back plate.Usually people talk about a sub being motor limited vs suspension limited, not thermal versus mechanical. Nasty sound though...I'd much rather it be motor limited because it's quite a bit easier to hear the former hit the back plate.
Exactly, very noticeable and pretty darn hard to achieve. If you hear it, you'll know what NOT to do anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifNasty sound though...

if your talking about my recent sub mess up, i cut the cone off, and...it turns out the bottom of the coil was smashed in a little, so it made that wierd noise. I ran it over its excursion limits...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifYeah, but at least you don't get a torn spider surprise out of nowhere.
