subs that people will hear

zane, by having a loud system i don't intend on impressing anyone. It's just a satisfaction that i get from the seats rumbling below me. It's fun, and it makes the music sound more powerful...so powerful that you can feel

Big-Cat, if this is the case, "feeling the seats rumbling below me," why then, do you ask about hearing your car from 100 feet away at "normal listening levels?" If this is for your benefit, as in your last post, why then do you care what your follow school friends think? If you want to impress them, bring them in your car. It's big enough, you can fit several in there at a time, if need be. You don't need to impress them from a distance. Impress them with quality and the install, while still shaking them up - from *inside* the car.

here...let me start all over. My system isn't as loud as i want it to be. It won't be either. And i don't go around at night with my system blasting. The only kids at my school that i know that do that are a bunch of **** that think they're big shots. As far as the install...i don't know very much at all about car audio..i just know what sounds loud...i've never even heard a SQ system. But i know i want a loud system, therefor i'll get one, maybe as i become older and learn more i'll get interested in SQ. But for now i just want a loud system, but being part of the football team, it is a requirment to be respectful and responcible. Basic Logic tell you to not play your system loud at night. On my computer, i've got 2 8's. When my parents and little brothers go to bed, and i'm listening to music i adjust the bass so that it's lower. Don't stereotype me as being one of the other kids. Another thing, i'm not gonna be in my car that much anyway. Just on the way to school, on the way home, to work...maybe if i have to run some errands or something. But i wouldn't wake anyone up. I really wish i hadn't post this thread...it stired up too much commotion

Zane, Mark ab, myself included. You can only say so much. Until they grow up, they won't realize what they are doing. I thought it was cool, to go around bumping when i was in my teens. I thought it was so cool, I went bumping through a church building, the first time I was told to turn it down, so I went through there again with it cranked, this time they tried to stop me. So being a dumb @ss I went in through the back way cranking it up once again, this time a guy got his hand in the window and hit a friend in the head, I floored the car and the guy ended up breaking his elbow. So yeah I thought I made quite an impression, boy I was talking about it for a week and so were friends of mine and other people. That was until I wrecked my car two weeks later. I pulled right out in front of a car. I looked both ways, twice, and did not see a car, still to this day I believe I was reprimanded for my behavior in the church parking lot. I have been tortured by installing friends systems and not being able to afford one for myself for almost 2 years. Finally, with the help of my brother, we both pitched in and I got bump in my car. I also learned that I had grown up, and now I respect other people's privacy.

So the point is: maturity brings respect, and until they mature they won't have the sense to respect other people's rights. If stricter laws on noise violations are implemented, so be it, they will be the ones paying the hefty fines.

Hey Phatillusion thats funny shit man,I just think it was the mans stupidity that he thought he could be a smartass and teach you guys a lesson. As far as your accident that can happen anytime to anyone so.I'm also 23 like MR. ZANE and have a child also, but i have a possitive outlook on life and don't let little things like noise bother me or my life that wouldn't be right. Its not how smart you think you are its how smart you make your money.

zane and the otheres are right if it wasn't for all those dumbasses driving around with there stereos cranked up and their hatches opened so you can hear them for a block . the laws on stereos wouldn't be so bad but that was a clear point that all they wanted to do was make nosie and make othere people hear them. and now you can get your system taken away $500 and up tickets. a 150+ spl system is not a system you use to listen to music so much as to compete with othere people with system sitting in a residental area and cranking up your system against someone elses i would say is ok to a point middle of the day saturday ok middle of the night monday not ok. now driving down the street with 4 15"'s at full volume is dumb you don't need music that loud when your just listening to it .. your hears can only handle so much. sound till instead of hearing the sound waves the sound waves start destroying your hear drums . it is the same thing as having say a 10 second mustang once in a while to race someone down a street is ok but to let it rip down every street is just stupid . if you wanna have a street race if you wanna see who has the loudest system take it to a industrial area and do it right . as for motor cycles and jets . there is no volume control on them they can't do anything about it . and if you think i am over aged and don't want to be woken up from my nap wrong i am 19 years old

i don't think zane has a negative outlook, just an intelligent one. it's a pretty simple idea really, i don't understand why so many people don't get it.... the fewer people you piss off, the less heat you're gonna get. just because you or I don't care if someone is pounding out some heavy bass as they drive by doesn't mean your neighbor doesn't, ya know? if you owned fine china (which is usually the product of a family heirloom or a wedding present) something tells me you wouldn't want it broken. what makes you feel good about ruining other people sh**? if you drove by my house and destroyed some of my property, I would make it a serious point to make sure it wouldn't happen again. and thats how sh** gets ruined for everybody. think man, THINK!!!!!!

Jimi Hendrix once said; "Knowledge speaks but wisdom listens." I am speaking the knowledge that I obtained from the wisdom I gained from listening to others concerned with noise polution.

And allthough I do not profess in any way to be the "smartest" person here, lets just play along and say that I am.... Wow- that would mean that everything I have been saying is totally right!; now wouldnt it!

kind of a moot point all over again, as intelligent(for most of us here) conversation does not disturb other people, whereas noise does.

Thank you for the clarification.

Now I will fully invite you to audition my Competition SQ System this summer after it is completed. I will guarantee it will make more than a lasting impression upon you, and provide exactly what you have described, without disturbing the peace. Since you stated that you have not heard an SQ system, this would be an excellent opportunity for you to see what all is involved in one such system. One of the main mis-informations about SQ systems is that they lack bass and output. How can I put this? B*llSh*t! If you get a chance, attend a couple of competition events, and pay close attention to the SQ installs. One can alleviate this mis-information, and be amazed by what is to be seen.

This offer stands for anyone to take advantage of for that matter, my systems are always available to anyone who would like a demonstration- so long as they ask first.

take it easy,

I happen to have a posative outlook on life too thank you.

This is more of an issue of maturity rather than intelligence. However, logic dictates that money isnt everything in life.

It takes maturity and common sense to realize that....

Something most are gifted with at birth.

I think everyone has their reasons for gettin a system..... for some it's to impress others and for others it's personal satisfaction. I don't really think you can criticize a person's reasons. Generally people criticize because they disagree.

I used to have a system in college and high school. When I first got it I thought wow my car is loud. I thought to myself....yeah this is great. But i didn't turn it up to attract attention..........I just like loud music i like the way it feels in my car and i like the way loud music gets me hyped. I don't really care what people think(but everyone be honest, you know you like it when somebody gives you a compliment on your system)

Then I started realizing that most people just think (what an a@@hole) as you pass them. I then started feeling uncomfortable with my volume at high levels....I felt like everyone was sayin' **** what an a@@hole.

Then I figured somethin' out......they're is a time and place for it. My friends thought it was cool but my parents and neighbors didn't understand me.....So i just turned it down when in residential areas (but every once in a while that track comes on that you just got to play loud) Besides i didn't wanna go def with the volume turned up so high all the time.

My car then died so for the last two years......nothin' stock everything. I just bought my first new car and i am gonna get back into it (after all it is a hobby, I just wish i could get my wife to stop naggin me about how it's a waste of money)

I think there is a time and a place for bumpin' but I can't blame someone for Crankin' it up.

That was nicely said NYTROOPA.Its like who cares how smart you are just enjoy life and let people enjoy there stereo. We all don't crank it all the time cuz it hurts after awile or we get use to it and it sounds not loud enough, but when we wanna cut loose cuz it feels good we do sometimes no harm intended to those who put down bass in unwanted areas of our world.I know how it feels man my wife wont let me buy subs but whats a system with-out subs.I wear the pants is what i'm sticking 2 and thats the way it goes.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

you're agreeing with troopa, but previously you said that it was cool to break peoples fine china when you drive down their street?? troopa stated that there is a time and a place for everything....and that is the point we are trying make here. are you getting it?

heh u wear the pants huh??? and are you married yet??? cause when you say i do...or in my case yes(kinda wasnt paying all that much attention) its kinda like handing over the pants...cause women can be very persuasive....if you konw what i mean...
