Subs stopped working

ok so sometime last month my sub-woofers stopped working, they were working fine until about a week or two after I wired them parallel (Two 4 ohms subs - to two ohms). I checked the fuses on the power wire and amp, tested the amp everything seemed fine. Come to find out the sub-woofers were blown. I bought a new amp (before I tested the old one(dumb)) and bought new sub-woofers wired them to 2 ohms in my old box. and when I cut on the amp I still get nothing. amp is brand new and powers on- sub-woofers are brand new- I am using a factory head unit with an LOC converter.

Where do I start troubleshooting from here?

the plastic terminals in the box can melt and cause a loss in connection. if you wire the subs out of phase you won't hear much.

how were they wired before they were wired in parallel? series?

double-check that the input to the LOC isn't out of phase. disconnect one RCA from the amp input.

use a DMM to measure resistance of the woofer coils while installed in the box (measure at the speaker wires at the amp disconnected.)

RCA can cut out.
