Disconnect Stock tweets in trailblazer?

I am gonna get a set of coaxials to replace my stock front speakers (which have decent midrange) but they have a tweeter to the side of the 6.5s. It is an 03 trailblazer. It is a non bose setup and for now I am just gonna run them off of a Kenwood KDC-HD262U. Should I just disconnect and tape up the stock tweeter or leave it be?

Also, what is a decent set to run off of just an aftermarket head? Soundqubed?

coax suffer from putting tweeters too low to be useful. leave the stock.

JBL has efficient speakers that pair well with a head unit. that would be my first look.
