Alpine doesnt sell parts to fix the sub woofer =[You might try contacting the manufacturer and see if they'll recone it and the cost...
They do not and it used to be they used a rather unique coil design in those. You may be able to find parts to fit that motor but they will not perform close enough to the OEM that you could run them together.Alpine doesnt sell parts to fix the sub woofer =[

If you bought them from a big enough retailer you might be able to return them and get them warrantied.
Its not 100% out of commission, but its not going to last much longer, and you will know when they fail,or until the amp goes into protect. I wouldnt run them any longer and keep the amp safe to use on another good sub or a pair.Would this mean the sub is out of commission? (Scratching when pushing on the speaker) or can i run it still?
Ive been trying to find a decent video. But idk. It seems like the voice coil is either burnt up or out of place. Idk. Im going to dive into some more videos or something and try to fix this. I had a pair of Kicker 10s catch fire in the rear of my CRV banging the Chit out of them going down the freeway @75mph.(I was actually trying to cook them). The statement I am trying to make is that there is a possibility the sub or subs could catch fire, and if in trunk space, it may be a little late by the time its noticed.Ive been trying to find a decent video.
