wow..i figured that this thread would have some JL controversy, but its all good.

I was thinking about DD or Fi,but wasn't sure. how would a DD9515 or 15" Fi BTL compare to (2) 15L7s in SPL? I just use the solos as reference cus i've had them before.

Is the $500 budget just for subs? How much do you have to spend on an amp? Because if you can't afford an amp to power some HDC3s, I would worry about that, too.

the $500 is just for subs...i have (2)kx1200.1 or a MA Audio 4400 to use.

Never saw where the guy was going to compete with the subs for SPL.

Yes, dub-7's aint an SPL sub, but that doesn't mean they can't get pretty loud for your daily driven application.

But there are others out there that can and will get louder.

For your budget, run a single 12" IDMAX. Way more than decent output and will sound good too.

I happen to be 34 years old, prior Military, own my own home, and currently own 2 cars, a 2002 Cadillac Escalade and a 1997 BMW M3, both fully outfitted with JL Audio equipment. I already have my precious 13W7 and love it, I don't intend on entering any competitions I just enjoy car audio, so why don't you go back in that hole your crawled out of stop trying to put others down because you think you own all the best equipment around.

for under 500 i think 2 15L7s would kick donkey balls.... your not going to find much better if you only want to spend 500 on subs but i never been a fan of putting 2 15s in a trunk.....
