Sub recommendations: Good tight punchy bass

Subs like mine sealed, punch hard on rock songs, and they are only 70 bucks each.

With two 12's it would work great, look at Kicker, JL W1's, Alpine, Pioneer etc or any of the internet subs like Adire audio, Image Dynamics, Soundsplinter.

The enclosure alignment will dictate the 'punchiness' of the system's output much more than which brand/model of raw driver you purchase. Also, as some have alluded to here, an upgrade in the midbass region would probably serve you as well, if not better, than messing with your subwoofer, considering the type of music you play and what you are describing you want from your system.
