Sub recommendations: Good tight punchy bass

The enclosure alignment will dictate the 'punchiness' of the system's output much more than which brand/model of raw driver you purchase. Also, as some have alluded to here, an upgrade in the midbass region would probably serve you as well, if not better, than messing with your subwoofer, considering the type of music you play and what you are describing you want from your system.

Enclosure alignment and midbass drivers are going to be very important to the type of sound you are wanting.
