sub question

hi all ok i have 2 12's that were hooked up and played fine (other then alot of engine noise) I switch from a cd player head to a all in one dvd head unit and added something to get ride of the enigine noise. Now the amp comes on but the subs wont play. they will come on and start to play then just stop and they will come in and out wail driving but the amp stays on. I checked the fuses they good 4 30watts double checked the wires in the dash and to the head unit they all good....So im stuck?

um i did the first set up was done by pro at a local shop i only swaped head units but ill check and see if its whe wires again....mean the amp stays on so idk...but thanks
