Sub question

Alright heres the deal. A buddy of mines got a 4400 M/A audio amp hooked to 4 12inch M/A competition woofers (the 1200 watt maxx ones). His truck gets pretty loud (soposedly hit 97 decibles on a cops decible meter) but im looking to get louder. I haven't been around car stereo for about a year now, but i took a ride in my buddys truck and now i got the bug again. I have a 88 crx and i plan to fiberglass most of the hatch, no carpet or storage compartment nothing. I'd like to do a woofer behind each seat(for those of you not familer with the crx, 2 seats, so 2 woofers.). All I know is brand name main stream sh*t like Kicker, M/A, Visonik, Audibahn. I wanna be different. I want to dump about 350 or more if i have to in a good set of woofers. What woofers do you recomend. I don't care to much about Sq, just Spl really. He has a CRX, not a civic. But anyway I would look into some RE sx subs. They are decently priced and get loud. They are an internet brand if you havent heard of them. Others that would stand out in a crowd that are decent are Treo,Brhama, or some mags. The mags get pretty loud but are a little more geared for sq if I am not mistaken. Just talk to some guys on here that have some experience witrh these. Good luck!

Thank you for you'r opinion Bigbang. What about Type-r's. I'd really like to do 15's. Also yes, it is a TWO seater CRX, NOT a civic.

Ok, I just want to get loud, I guess I'd go up to 500 on woofers. I'll just have to comprimie somewhere else (headunit probably). I hear nothing but bad things about Lightning audio. How good are the dvc's? I wanted to do kicker L7's originaly but i want the 05 model. And thats alittle outta my price range. Ethier two 15's, or one 18.

That first one is made by dayton. similar to the RL-p from soundsplinter.

That pyle is total shit.

FYI.. 97dB isn't loud at all. You should have no problem beating that with a single 12 in a properly build box.

No, i know 97 ain't loud. I think there was a problem with the decible meter because he is pushing 4400 watts to 4 M/A comps, The quarters on his 4-runner move in and out about an inch or so. Its insane. I can barley tolerate sitting in his backseat. How loud do you think i could get with those daytons. I'm gonna put them in a sealed fiberglass box, I'm gonna have each woofer right behing the seats, No hatch area at all. The box is gonna extend right up to the base of the quarter windows. Anyways how much money is it gonna take to get to the point where i can't sit in the car at full blast. I need amp(s), woofer(s), headunit (probably just gonna do a cheap sony or alpine) and components, but for right now lets foucus on woofers, will i be abel to hit 145 with 2 of those daytons, in about a 5 cubic foot box? Oh, what about RE's XXX or sx how much do they run.
