for 500 bones i would almost say do one 15" ported.

get a 15mt or a 15xxx. both will be really loud in a large ported box. scratch the fiberglass idea. u wont get as loud sealed as ported. or go with a type r and buy a box from tcab. that will be right at 500 dollars for a sick enclosure wit a loud sub

Whatever you do dont do the tcab box for 500 bucks off one type r. He does good cause he burps it. I highly doubt he does over 150 musical. If I was u and they still have those daytons on a buyout, then I would jump on those. Also sounsplinter is good as well. But if you are willing to spend 500 bucks on one sub then I would check out the MT like Macbleeze said. Those things get crazy loud and would pretty insane in a crx. Just make sure you get a monster amp and a upgrade your electrical system. Good luck!

Who the heck is t-cab? and why does everybody talk about t-cab typre r boxes like to lord built them himself? I really want to fiberglass in my hatch. Which would get louder? 2 type-r 15", an mt 18" (not sure if they make an 18"), or a xxx, oh how bout them daytons, they dont look very strong. Plus i don't get my paycheck for another 2 weeks so im sure that offer will be up by then. 1 15" will hit 150? i thought i was fonna need an 18". How much can you get an mt 18 for? BigBangTheroy, it's only funny cause it's true.

Yeah man I remember those days. But it was always my mom saying dont bump your system late at night and can you coast in the driveway. Funny thing is I blame my mom for all my audio and car addications. When I was a baby a long,long time ago she told me she put speakers on my crib and blasted Led Zeplin. I trust you BigBang, but i hear good things from all the reviews i read about them, so i figured they'd be worth a shot. So the general consencus is that i should do an mt 18".

I woud do the mt 18 if you were gona use the whole inside of your car as a box. I honestly think you would have a hard azz time getting a good size box in that car for this.

I have the WHOLE hatch area i can fiberrglass in for it, what kinda cubic footage am i gonna need for this beast. While I'm here, how much should i expect to pay for one of these?

400 give or take that area depends on how beat it is. I dont know the exact size but I wouldnt throw it in 2-5 cubs lol I would figure more like 8+
