Sub is being picky?

I've been running a TC sounds LMS with a Zapco 750.2 for a couple of months and have not touched anything on the amp or sub since original install and tune. The last couple of days the sub would stop playing at lower volume and if i turned up the volume enough, the sub would kick in.

Now the sub doesnt play at all unless i go back to the box and give it a little tap on the cone (like a motivational push) and then it wil play until i turn the volume down or turn the car off!

I cant figure out the problem, any suggestions?

SOunds like a bad solder on tinsel leads or the coil is shot. I've had boombox speakers do that before , givem a nudge and crank it and they will play all day , turnem down and they won't play anymore.

you need to take the sub out of the box and check the leads, you may have to pay someone to fix it. since resko built it he will probably be happy to fix it, not saying that he will do it for free though.

Yeah sounds like a loose/broken connection somewhere...

Sounds like a lead problem. Sometimes they can be fixed, depending on where the problem is at. Although a lot of the time the repair will just keep failing until you recone it properly.
