I currently have a 12" eclipse ti in a ported box, im looking for somehting with a little less bump and better sound quality. So for now im looking at 10's A couple of my options are the Rockford Stage 1 10", the mtx 8510-44 or the Boston Accoustic G5 10" i have an mtx thunder801d amp right now that is 800wrms at 2 ohms. ANy help would be greatly appreciated

put that sub in a small sealed box and you will be happy.

or, x over your sub amp @ 60hz try reverseing phase, turn box around 180 degrees. set ssf to 30, have you tried all these things?

what box, what car?

You need a ported DD 2510 ...If setup right it will give you everything and more to what you want

i have tried turning the box but not the other things u mentioned, i dont have a lot of room its in the trunk of a lexus is

there are many things you should try before spending money, that sub can sound good in your car, you just need to understand the what and why of car audio a little more than you do.

look at your sub amp check it is set to low pass and the x over is set at about 60 hz, check your head unit and all controlls (except volume) are set to zero (no bass boost etc). start there and get back here and tell how it sounds.

alright well also the sub seems to sound a little sloppy and doesnt seem to hit all the beats, especially on rock songs, would a small sealed box make a big difference on that

It will make a world of difference putting it into a small sealed box, Id recommend like .80 to 1.00 cu ft

My one 12" Brahma is tight as can be and doesnt miss double bass hits with heavy Rock

Just make sure your box is completely air tight
