Sub for UNDER $100???

ok ok i'm taking all ur thoughts into consideration...another question

A 12" with equal amount of RMS as a 10" will sound better true?? because of the rubber displacement or something like that. I remember reading a post about someone comparing 10" and 12" subs with equal amount of rms.

and i'll get the amp model # when i get home

And also these are all brands that aren't to main stream cuz i have never heard of most of them b4. How do they compare the the big names out there who have the money to advertise.

and also I'm competing with a friend who had a 12" jl w6

I'm pretty sure some has maybe made this post b4 but this is for myself..
I have a hatchback and I am lookin for the best sub for my hatch for under $100 if possible ($99.99 plus tax is cool, cause we all live in cali where tax is great). First I should say what Amp I have and what kinda of subs I have used before.

My 1st sub: That Roadmaster 10' Tube sub with the neon circle bass light from Wal-Mart (everyone has had one or knows someone who has)

2nd sub(s): 2 12" Sony subs from Wal-mart (dont remember the part number on them but I remember the RMS equaling 350 because one was 150 rms and the other was 200 rms) And for the amp I was using the old school punch amp. The little small one has has 75 watts but hits hard as hell

3rd Sub: 10" 350 rms Audiobahn aw102t in ported box

4th sub(s): 2 8" Comp. JBL in bandpass

5th Sub(s): 2 10" MTX Road Thunder Subs in MTX bandpass box

For the 3rd through the 5th I have been using the my Profile Mono Block Amp (350rms the one from Circuit City during that sale) and it has held up pretty well with no cutting off. I am not new to subs as far as wiring, power handling and all. all subs have sounded great when it comes to standing in front of the car but didnt have the bass quality I was looking for when standing in back of the car. I know Audiobahn provides the most amount of rms for the cost, and I dont know of there magnet size is decieving. All I really want is one single 10" maybe a 12" that will provide nice bass for under $100 or even $150 Just to be safe. And I will be using the same 350 rms mono block amp for now...Thanks in advance

those subs are making my eyes burn, take them away. ahhhh!!!! i cant see

your a sick mother ******, competing like whose is louder or sounds better or what, because not too many subs that are less than 100$ will be louder than a W6, although they are not the loudest subs, and nothing around 100$ will sound as good as a W6

closest to get to loudness would be a kicker comp vr

RMS power doesn't mean one sub will be louder than another. Sub X with 250w may be louder than Sub Y with 350w.

*Generally* a 12" will be louder than a comparable model 10" subwoofer. Not always, however...definitely not always. You really need to compare two known subs....it's really hard to make accurate generalizations.

Add another to the list: Incriminator Audio 187

Can be had in 10 and 12 version, I think they run $120-ish nowadays. Excellent build quality, gets loud, low, mics well.

You can also look into the Sonic FX version which should be cheaper. I have no idea what they do in real world situations but should perform about the same as the 187 for less money.

Ive been trying to tell people these are pretty decent subs for the money.

Get a single 12" Pioneer TS-W2000SPL. You can find them for about $115 shipped. They handle 750 wRMS each and are extremely loud with great SQ (IMO), if built in the right box. I listen to these things daily with gains at 1/4 with a 800 wRMS amp, with my headunit's equalizer as low as it will go and they still get too loud for daily listening.http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4061_35342,00.html

Actually, if you wanted to get a 10" version of the sub, talk to ruckus... he's selling a practically new one for only $90 bucks shipped
$80 shipped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif TS-W1500SPL friggin thing is loud. Im only putting 400 watts into it (does 600watts rms) and you can hear it in the back of my house with the car in the front and its a single 10. Only used for 2 days between my JL going out and 12" memphis shipments coming in. ohh and for the 12 sounding louder than the 10s bullshit this 10" premier is louder than 2 12" kicker comps running the same wattage.

ok this is the amp i got

Profile 400msx

-200 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms

-300 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

-requires 8-gauge power and ground leads — wiring and hardware not included with

amplifier

-MOSFET power supply

-variable low-pass filter (40-130 Hz)

-variable bass boost (0-12 dB) at 45 Hz

-preamp and speaker-level inputs (adapter included for speaker-level inputs)

-fuse rating: 20A x 2

-13"W x 2-3/8"H x 9-3/4"D

I guess i was wrong for saying i wanted to compete with a w6 for under 100 but hey, maybe is possible...

still takin names
