Sub enclosure question

Hey i was wondering if you guys could tell me some 900-1100rms 12" subs that do good in about 2.2 cubes ported but can do better with a bigger enclosure around 3.5 cubes at the most. The reason im asking is because i don't want to spend like 300 dollars on a sub and if its not loud enough not for me then i won't be able to build a larger box, i'll have to upgrade again which i don't really want to do.
